Newsletter title: Forgiveness

Peace - What is peace? Peace in the world, peace in the heart, peace in the mind or peace in the spirit. There are many types of peace. Many look for it and few find it. Why? Throughout my life I have met thousands of people desiring to heal their pain and suffering and they never realize peace. The single most common reason they are prevented from realizing relief from pain and suffering is that most have been conditioned to hold onto their past dramas, hurt and pain. Our past is what in many ways prevents us from having peace. Let me explain.

If we hold onto our pain, our hurt, or some kind of abuse, we create fear and insecurity within us. Fear is a feeling that creates insecurity and a lack of self-worth. We then have anger, judgment, hatred and so forth. All these feelings prevent us from having peace in our life and peace in our heart. These feelings of fear, anger and judgment carry over into our daily life, which in turn carries over into our world. This energy manifests into the rest of the world and into our spirit world causing unrest with our spirit. How can we solve this problem?

Look around us today at the unrest in our neighborhoods, the lack of peace in our society, and a lack of peace in other parts of the world. We can change it. We must be able to first change ourselves. Then we change our families, our neighborhoods, our cities, our country and the rest of the world by our example.

How do we change ourselves, you ask? We change ourselves recognizing who and what we are all about. To do that, we must be able to look at our past, the hurt, the pain, the abuse and a lack of love that we felt we never received from our family, our love ones. We must be able to forgive, this does not mean that through the forgiveness we condone what someone has done or not done. It is to say that because of who and what we are, the spirit that lives in these physical bodies is much more than what appears to be. God or by whatever name or language used to describe that energy that created all life. The name is not important. It is the knowing that something created, designed, and built this wonderful world, this beautiful universe we live in. And that all of us came from that source. We are the children, the offsprings, of that source. We are truly one another's brothers and sisters. If you stop and think about it we really have two sets of parents. We have our biological parents who came together to create our physical form, our physical body, and then we have our spiritual parents that most of us call God, Mohammad, Budda, the Great White Spirit. Remember there is only one source that created all of life. That source is the Mother and Father of our spirit. Think about it?

Many of us in the world believe in the one we call Jesus Christ, Buddha, Mohammed, Great White Spirit. There have been many that have walked among us in body and spirit who have been great teachers for all us; these teachers have been with us from time to time down through life. And they all had one thing in common. They preach to us and show us the example of love and forgiveness. Jesus preached to us about love and when he was hanging on the cross he showed us the greatest example of love. He did not ask God his father, our father to bless and love those who all ready loved him. He asked God to forgive those who abused him who nailed him to the cross that caused pain in his physical life. My Friends, can we not do the same? Can we not ask our creator, our Father and Spirit, to forgive those who have caused pain and hurt in our lives, and can we not forgive. After all does not the same energy the same blood flow in us. Can we not step down - freed by the act of forgiveness from our emotional cross? I like to think that all of us can do that and by doing this we are able to recognize more of who we really are. It is the only way we can have peace in our hearts, in our spirits and in our world. Just think if 25% of the people around the world or just in this country were to forgive the hurt and pain and abuse in our life how much peace that would create? How that would affect the world peace. Along with that feeling of peace inside comes a feeling of freedom. If we are peaceful within our self, the spirit is healed; there is no judgment nor anger, and no feeling of insecurity. Remember when you forgive, you are not saying what they have done was right or what they fail to do was wrong, What you are saying is that you no longer going to let that moment in time control you any more.

If we could forgive the pain and hurt of yesterday, just think what a peaceful world this could be. People are fighting over things that happened years ago. The Christians are still angry about what happened to Jesus. Some people are still angry over the second war and what the Germans did. Or what the Japanese did. Please don't get me wrong; these things were harmful acts of violence and persecution. But, if you can't let go, forgive and be in this moment in time, you will never have peace in your life or in the world. And in most cases you will pass that anger, that judgment, that fear and that feeling of insecurity onto your children from one generation to the next.

During my life, I have been shot, stabbed and sexually abused. I grew up at that time when there was a lot of prejudice for anyone who looked Japanese. Although I was not, I’m half Filipino and looked Japanese, I remember being asked to leave beaches, restaurants and homes and been told not to come around young ladies that were very white. Much prejudice at that time much prejudice still goes on today on all sides. But you know, I look at the past and say, "so what". It does not matter and I forgive all those who have caused pain in my life. It does not do me any good to hold on to the anger, the judgment the fear or to allow it to create insecurity or a feeling of unworthiness within me.

What a feeling of peace, a feeling of freedom. How many of you out there have had your God, come and tell you that you were not worthy of its love or that you were being judged? You may have had your friends your loved ones and others tell you that you are not love, that you are not worthy, but I look at this way until spirit tells you different. I would not care too much about your fellow man says because after all, they're going through the same thing that you are based upon their conditioning and programming. Bring peace into your spirit and life through forgiveness free yourself from the chain's and bondage of the negative energies that life situations have created with in you, be free of the anger and the judgment .Be free of the past, whether it be yesterday’s or thousand years ago.

Being a Filipino spiritual healer for the past 30 years and have traveled around the world and seen much sickness and pain I have come to one conclusion that all illnesses are caused by the emotions. I have seen everything from asthma to aids be healed when the emotional issues have been addressed and a change take place within that individual. Illnesses or sickness whether due to accidents or disease comes into our bodies as a wake-up call? They are there to get our attention to make a change in how we look at life or conduct our life, how we hold on to the past, or the fear of the future. Free yourself from the negative energies, such energies, as fear and anger judgment and in security. Forgive.

How do you do this -you say? I have been recommending for many years. Write letters to those people who have caused pain or lack of love, and lack of understanding in your life. Be very honest in what you'd like to say, express all your feelings and emotions, and before you close the letter, go look in the mirror see who live this in that beautiful body see if you can see the spirit, the child of the one who created all of life, and can not that child forgive, and go back and write forgiveness in the letter. Then, burned the letter. And watch how it burns some letters will burn up right away, some will take two or three books of matches to get it to burn, That’s means the attachment is still hanging on. Observe the feeling of peace and freedom that will come over you when you are free from those negative energies of the past.

Peace is a wonderful thing. Many strive for it, and many never even know what it is. We all can have it if we simply forgive the negativity from the pains in our past. Peace must start from within, and then it becomes a beacon that shines from the inside out. It gets brighter and brighter as it touches the world. But it starts with each one of us. Many are trying to achieve peace from the outside in. It must start from within. May you all have peace in your heart.
